Doctor ignores default iOS parental controls, child racks up $1,800 in in-app purchases

I have one freemium game I play fairly regularly - I've accumulated quite a bit of in game currency just by "getting good" - I haven't paid them a penny. I just did the math. over $2000 if I had paid for it? How can I turn that in?!
The wife plays the game, too, and she lets the nieces and nephews use her iPhone when they're in town so the first thing I did was disable in-app purchases, switch the complex passcode for the device to a basic PIN for their use, and then logoff of Media & Purchases so they can't even circumvent by re-enabling the in-app purchases in Screen Time, since it and Settings still can't be password protected, which is the only issue I have with Apple.
Now I just have her bring an old iPad which they can use that doesn't have anything logged in and one of us can manually install a game if they want it, but also leave in-app purchased disabled—for all devices—since it's not something that ever really gets used in my house and only takes a few clicks if I ever do need to enable it.
I understand that my efforts are probably more intense than others, but even the minimum level of proactive measures this will never happen.

PS: Another solution is subscribing to Apple Arcade which are all ad-free.
You can password protect Screen Time, even with a different password than the unlock one. That's how I have our devices setup.

Former Samsung Pay heads launch new iPhone-compatible mobile payment startup
I'm not seeing this as solving any problems.
As a former business owner, I know that the magstrip tech is really old, and there was a law passed that makes it the shop's responsibility if a customer pays with a forged card using the magstrip. This is to encourage the use of NFC & chip. The fact that the magstrip is being phased out as someone mentioned above, and this device doesn't have a chip to read, makes this not a solution, but one more thing that will be unused in a few years. A lot of vendors have upgraded their terminals to contactless due to covid, that and the law about magstrips makes it unlikely it will stay around for much longer. Already a store has disabled the magstrip where I live, chip or NFC only.
Why carry something when it's duplicate tech (NFC) that I can have built into my phone? That and the fact this is a Kickstarter/Indiegogo campaign makes this a non-starter for me. -

How to get an old macOS installer from Apple
macgui said:Does anyone know of a link for a 10.9.5 (Mavericks) installer? I tried the Purchased tab and found Mavericks, but it shows Installed and I can't download it again.
As noted in the article, the Installers I've saved are now dead. If I go to Apple Support and search for Mavericks, all I get are links to update files and not the OS itself. I have 2029 installers for other OSs I might need, but I need one for Mavericks.
