  • First look: Apple's bionic iPhone X with Face ID

Great early review. Agree about the disappointment of fast OR wireless charger not being included in the box. Would have also been nice to have AirPods included with the purchase as well.

  • FBI director says smartphone encryption hindering investigations 'across the board'

What now? Do you ban toilet seats because they are also used by criminals?
Similarly, do you weaken and compromise all encryption technologies for ALL people because they can’t get into some people’s phones as easily as before ??
If the technology companies, airline carriers, banks and neighborhood watches are doing all the police work for the authorities, not sure why we still have them around on the payroll ?? If all they are going to do is show up on the scene for pictures after the fact, like in Vegas!

  • Verizon, Sprint, T-Mobile, announce iPhone X discounts ahead of launch

What a con these carriers are pulling these days! Unbelievable!
People, listen to me. You are better off putting the whole charge on your “credit card” and paying it off yourselves slowly.  And these are the benefits you get if you do:
    1) You get a truly unlocked iphone from the get go. Make sure you buy the “unlocked sim version” IPhone from Apple directly. None of the carrier versions will do. Verizon and T-Mobile are supposed to be unlocked, but you still are stuck with the carriers until paying off the amount in full.
    2) “Unlocked Sim” Iphones from Apple covers way more 4G LTE radio bands than any carrier version iphone, allowing you to have a more reliable and faster internet connection when you travel internationally. Even allowing you to put in an international local sim and using it like a local phone without a second thought.
    3) T-Mobile and ATT version IPhones do not work on Verizon and Sprint, even when unlocked by carriers. Another reason to buy “unlocked sim” iPhone from Apple, which works on all Carriers and in all countries.
    4) You will fetch a much higher resale price when you are ready to sell off your “unlocked sim” iPhone from Apple.
So be smart and pay a little interest charge on your card if you have to. Buying from your carrier doesn’t make any sense anymore, unless you like having your strings pulled every now and then. The days when carriers sincerely subsized iphones are long gone!! All that is left now is funny marketing gimmicks calling the potato a “POTATOE”!! When you add everything up, you are paying the full amount of the iPhone to the carrier, infact even more when you add the “upgrade fee”. I know this because I used to work for a BIG carrier and left it because of all the morally corrupt ways the fat cats on top were engineering to pull wool over people’s eyes!

  • Qualcomm CEO reiterates Apple feud comes down to IP pricing

I am honestly getting tired of the argument that since Apple did not make the initial investment in the development of radio technology used in 4G and 4G LTE modems, Apple should pay whatever Qualcomm deems the fair pricing to be.
This type of mentality is not a problem for just Apple, but also Pharmaceuticals, Telecommunications and other industries. This type of thinking is an issue in general. Where there is fair and free market with healthy competition, this would have worked just fine. However, what happens when there is a Monopoly or a Duopoly?  Do you think Comcast would be able to get to a fair pricing point for their customers if left to their own device?? After all, there is nobody to compete with them in more than half the country. Even when there is competition, there is only one competitor.  Same goes with Genzyme, Pfizer and QUALCOMM. These companies think they can make you sell the shirt off your back, because they CAN and because they think it would be fair because of their initial investments! You decide if you can totally and truly be fair when you are holding all the cards on the table! Can you? Especially when you are measured only in numbers and nothing else! Moral character does not count and does not give you any points in WallSt.

  • iPhone X sightings on the rise in San Francisco

I don’t know what to feel about the notch as I watch a decent amount of Netflix and YouTube on the go, however, I’m sure it will grow on me as I understand there has to be a compromise made with practicality.  Can’t wait to get my hands on it as it has everything I ever wanted in an iPhone, especially the 4K HDR OLED display, which you have to see it, to believe in it’s beauty. Not to mention the true depth camera for AR, face ID and better selfies, which I use with my spouse and kid when there is no body else around to snap us!
