EU to propose common charger for all smartphones, ignores Apple's protest
It looks Apple is using EU legislation to move iPhones to USB-C … and deflecting the backlash to the regulators for the move !
MHO, they could have done this before but are using the regulations to be on the users side. Good marketing move.

Apple presses ahead with aim to replace paper passports and ID with iPhone
If the idea passes ... while displaying the secure data, the phone should lock. So if the officer requests the device, it would be locked !
Not paranoid ... I explained this to GEICO on their digital Insurance cards ...

Agree you may be able to change the SSD chips, but the RAM inside M1 ?
there are no memory lanes outside the SOC ...
