  • 'iPhone 13' same size as iPhone 12, gets improved ultra wide cameras says Ming-Chi Kuo

The rumors so far make this sound like it should be called iPhone 12S - like they usually do when there’s no significant chassis change.

im a little disappointed, though. While the iPhone 12 mini is a step in the right direction, finally, it’s not quite as small as I’d hoped (original iPhone SE size). Was hoping they’d do the same thing they did with the iPod mini — replace it in the 2nd generation with an even smaller iteration. iPhone 12S nano!
Just get yourself an Apple Watch instead, that way you don't have to wait for any iterations to hit that nano display…

This is so incredibly stupid. We still haven’t gotten over the ridiculous hype over the iPhone 12 and they are already talking about the 13.
They have to start early to get as much "predictions" as possible in before the phones are actually launched; how else are they going to have enough guesses to chose their success claims from?

This mini is still too big. 5S form factor is the biggest I'd want to use. I'm on my 3rd SE (due to wear and tear). And why do we have to have the camera bump. The bumps don't let a phone sit flat on a desk. Aaaaand, bring back a flavor of touch ID; be it in the power button, or under the screen, it's absolutely necessary in these times of universal masking.
Right?!? Original SE size would have been perfect with full sized screen. Also, we can't be the only ones that would rather have the phone 1.5 mm thicker to lay flat and use the space for a larger battery??  I'm going to miss touch ID also, but I don't think my 5 year old SE is going to survive another battery replacement and I have to plug it in several times per day now.
To be fair (to Apple), at the same time as people complain about how absolutely ruined their phones are by that bump most of them get some sort of case for their phone anyways; and on top of it all never actually use their phones laying flat on a surface. So the "problem" with phones not laying flat is mostly theoretical, and when it's practical it's non-existent for most of us.

  • MagSafe charging limited to 12W on the iPhone 12 mini

I am really bored by this „how fast can that phone/tablet charge“ discussion that is repeated every year when a new phone/tablet model comes along. Don‘t you have nights over there?

It happens to me once every few month, that i need to charge my phone fast. In the meantime I deliberately use older chargers to charge it slowly. I don‘t know how you in the USA can live such a fast life that this charging time thing is really an issue. I sure hope that there are some more important things in your life.

    Oh… wait…
You do realise that your whole complaint is based on your not even being able to imagine people using their devices differently than you, right?
