  • iPhone Fold - what the rumor mill thinks is on the way, and when

    My thoughts are like the previous posters. 
    What is the purpose of a foldable iPhone. It is still going to be the same mass. Plus a hinge mechanism. It may be smaller in one dimension, but it’s going to end up being twice the size in another.
    So what is gained?
    I look forward to seeing thoughts as to why such a device is advantageous.

  • How to use CarPlay's handy new features in iOS 18

    What would be nice, is when iPhone is connected to CarPlay, contacts you have previously selected, nothing from them makes it to CarPlay. 
    Just to keep such contacts and their incoming message or call, safe from wife (or husband, as may be….) from being publicly announced.

    Just asking, as I am not a Tesla car user. 
    Does Tesla sell subscriptions for "enhanced features".  
    Does Tesla allow 3rd party software/firmware access to its car's operating systems? Or does Tesla control the whole environment?
    Is there any irony in Musks position, regarding Apple here?

    That's why I quit paying for AI subscription. I still saw ads. When I inquired as to why, no response!

  • Apple Card offering 3% Daily Cash for all Apple Pay transactions in March

    I contacted them via support iMessage, thinking that since I've had the card and utilized it heavily since the beta rollout, I should be thanked with this promo ;) The Goldman Sachs rep hadn't heard of this promo. So I sent him a link to this article. He said thanks for it. 
    A few min later, he replied he can see that I have selected with my Apple ID, not to receive promotional emails (that is correct). 
    As such, I would not have received the promo notice. 
    True or not, I don't know. Though he never offered me the promo as goodwill. 
    So much for the squeaky wheel :D
