With all the comments to 'Break up the Amazon monopoly," progressives also will have their eyes on  the world's most richest and valuable corporation.  In general, the Left doesn't like the tech world, and shedding intel for ARM just looks like another nail in Apple's monopolistic approach. These people will not evaluate worldwide numbers, but just find a sympathetic judge to begin the process.   I can clearly remember what the outcome of the lawsuit was when Apple's iBooks versos Kindle went to trial. Had numbers didn't mean squat.  r Just a thought       (and I'm waiting for ARM to be in the next 27"iMac I buy!)

  • Who should upgrade to the new iPhone SE

The new SE is dual-SIM. You can use the one phone for both.
Yeah, but my business phone often gets calls while I'm on the house phone, and my house phone is almost clear of malware and spamming.  The business phone attracts car salesmen, warranty-extension,  home repair, political calls, etc. all during the day (and even on Sunday!)
I carry the house phone in my pocket and leave the business phone  on the desk while out of the house. I put the business phone on Airplane Mode in the evenings and weekends.

  • Who should upgrade to the new iPhone SE

I have two 8s, and just ordered for a new SE for each.  Why?  I'm used to the Home button and the 4.7" screen, and just don't need to spend $$$$ for high end models.
Mr. Verizov's  copper wires into my home have "gone South," and cannot be replaced due to City Fathers' obstructionist behavior.   So I've been on wireless since mid-201`1.  I need two phones: One for the home and the other for business and fund-raising, (The business and fund-raising efforts attract vermin, malware and phishing like a beer to honey!)  I use the phones for voice, messaging and the clock, pus Kindle. Everything else is accomplished on a 27" iMac.
With the A-13 chip, the new SEs should last three or four years before Apple pulls the plug. .

  • Editorial: Who wants the new iPhone SE 2020?

Since Verizon simply cannot keep wires into my home, wireless is the only solution available for me.

Currently I have two 8s - - one for home use, the other for business and fund-raising.
I'll keep both 8s until the local Apple store reopens, then I'll trade both 8s for the new SEs, avoiding the hassle of personally attempting to transfer stuff from the 8s to the newer SEs. I'll let the Apple Store employees do the work.

When the SE+ comes out next year, I'll take a good look at it.

  • Apple TV+ review: 'See' is no 'Game of Thrones'

As far as TV+ is concerned, Tim Cook reminds me of Dan Snyder, the owner of the Redskins.  Neither can keep from interfering, and let the people alone who actually have to make the decisions and do the job.

Cook needs to worry about iPhones, Macs, Wearables, Security, Privacy, Chinese and Indian Sales, Warren's intention to break up Big Tech, and the R&D programs. IMO, that's more than enough.

He should leave the TV+ to those who really understand the idiom.

Just my two cents from a guy who owned one of the first B&W TV sets.
