  • Apple introduces $4.99 Voice Plan for Apple Music

I think they're just trying to get more people used to Siri. This serves two purposes: they get more data to try to make it better; non / low users like me will be more comfortable using it. I recently got a HomePod for the kitchen - I push music from my personal collection to it (not an Apple Music subscriber) and have recently been trying out certain things to see what it can do. Simple so far - set a timer for cooking, raise / lower the volume (it's on top of the fridge - can't reach I :) Identify a song playing on a radio station I stream (SomaFM). It hasn't been too horrible - it's training me as much as I try to train it lol.

    OMG!! You haven't a clue.

The hottest corners of Hell should be reserved for the people who kill and maim and hide behind "privacy" as they are doing with my son who was killed 6 days ago by one of them, and not by accident. Check your priorities.

That's all I'll say about it.
gatorguy - so sorry about your loss. I have an 11 year-old girl and an overactive imagination, and my days are constantly interrupted with darkness and worry without anything actually happening. Even with that, I can't even come close to knowing what you're going through, and neither can 'nizzard'. Our priorities are influenced by our experiences. It's safe to assume that 'nizzard' has led a pretty different life than yours, especially with what you're going through now.  As much as this dust can ever settle, I don't think it's wrong to want transparency between a  government and its constituents. It's also not wrong to want the swiftest and most complete justice aimed at those who commit the most heinous of crimes. Ultimately, I think wanting some daylight and transparency in this matter was all that was being said, just in a potentially hyperbolic and simplistic way. It's obvious that his statement made things infinitely worse when held up to the horrible tragedy that you are in the middle of. Again, I'm very sorry for your loss.

  • 'iPhone 13' to launch in September with A15, bigger batteries, researchers say

The fact that the virus is getting worse by the day means that the pandemic will end sooner. For herd immunity we need 70% to 80% of the people either fully vaccinated or to have contracted the virus. So the more people that get the virus, the sooner that will happen. This pandemic should be completely over by next spring.
Well, kinda maybe. The more we keep things going virus-wise, the more chances the virus gets to mutate and potentially become more potent. IF enough people vaccinate and IF everyone where's a mask when appropriate, the virus will have a harder time spreading and then will mostly die out. Every time we take too long to do this we invite the virus to play for another round. As a probably too political side-note - the whole 'freedom' thing kills me. Not many people complain that it's illegal to get drunk and drive because it makes sense to have a rule that keeps you from harming others. Totally allowable to drink yourself to death. As soon as you put others in danger (by being drunk behind the wheel) that's when your actions can endanger others. Here, the simple act of wearing a mask and getting vaccinated does the same thing will help all of this pass sooner. NOT doing it puts others in danger. Our freedoms always have limits when they interfere with the freedoms of others. And you know, it's two ounces of fabric - oh the burden of it all :)  I mean, it would be really horrible if it mutates again and the the vaccines we currently have aren't quite up to the task of keeping us healthy enough to beat it. They evolve quickly because they replicate quickly, giving them more chances to mutate.

  • Drake's Scorpion on Apple Music crushes Spotify in streaming

Uh, I think this just means that Apple Music users like Drake more than Spotify users. Anything else is speculation.
