Are you serious – I am quite sure that Apple is not liable for data loss that occurs in iCloud. Second I would never store any private data in any cloud.

Well, if you buy from other stores, these stores will need to compete with Apple and earn a reputation to prevent spam apps. On the other hand, many privacy violations were never stopped by the App Store (like pasteboard sniffing or bugs in iOS that enabled spyware) but fixed directly in iOS. These fixes will work for any software, regardless from which source installed!

1. USA 38%
2. EU 24%
3. Greater China 20%

By the way – I would guess that USA will follow EU!

Apple needs to find to its roots again, even it will not be Wallstreets darling anymore.

Not the App Store, but the security/sandboxing of iOS (and developer certificates that can be revoked) have made iOS a relatively safe platform.
Where these measures have failed in the past (Pegasus, pasteboard sniffing), the App Store has not helped either.
