  • Foxconn to acquire first US EV factory in deal with Lordstown Motors

Decades of social movements in US has destroyed American's ability to operate manufacturing plant. The management are tied by human rights and spend way too much time on social issues of the workers. The people and the movement behind it are trying all they can to export this ideology to China and many other countries. But this is against capitalism which Taiwanese actually become better on execution.
Meaningless tosh. Read the history of labour movements. Read also, what happened to US manufacturing since Reagan. The world is bigger than just the US and China; even if that is the full extent of your world.

  • Users can now review Apple's first-party apps on App Store

Most of us agree that Apple is (on the whole) a positive experience, which is why we use their products. Still, I think Apple needs a kick up their asses, especially about those long-overlooked apps that we rely on; on the Mac: Contacts, Calendar, Reminders, Podcasts. I hope that the ratings will jolt Apple into giving those apps some love. Contacts, IMO, has been left to completely wither on the branch, it’s the most rudimentary thing imaginable.

  • EU proposing USB-C smartphone charger standard

I suspect that Apple will bypass it all by going straight to wireless charging. That might explain why they haven’t yet adopted USB-C for phones. Why adopt a stop-gap measure for the entire range of phones, when you will eventually go wireless anyway?

Of course proposing amendments like this are basically impossible because the EC isn't democratic, but I digress.

Thank you for including that comment. Now I can safely ignore everything else that you have written.
This directive was proposed by the European Commission, who are not directly elected by the citizens of the EU. Did you need a reminder of the definition of democracy?

No, I don’t. Do you need a reminder of how the EU works?
