I upgraded my home wifi to 6E and sure enough downloads speeds seem to have doubled in compatible devices. But in real life usage I don't know if its that big of a difference. So meh... More consequential/disruptive thing will be is it going to be the first usb-c iphone?

Uh... I thought this is the update to enable matter/thread? Trouble seems to be that the update requires all third party devices to update their firmware as well. That's a daunting ask if true. Google apparently has updated all most  of its devices to support matter and thread. But I really haven't tried to add any new thread only devices. Will try it out in the new year. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Upgraded my work laptop in May to 16" m1 pro 32 GB, after my previous laptop was out of (extended) apple care. Its been a absolute delight since.  I don't remember hearing the fan ever even with the development work I do.  Battery life is nothing short of awesome. There were some minor software compatibility issues due to change in processor architecture and some of my colleagues who need to run windows vm are unable to do so in company approved way (thankfully I don't need to). Also laptop is heavier than my earlier 2018 15" pro. I sometimes wonder if I should have opted for the 14" model but with my worsening near sight I believe this was the right choice even though I rarely use the laptop display under normal usage.

A rumored processor is rumored to be cancelled. While its fun reading this kind of articles, they should taken for what its worth. A rumor!
