I really believe Apple is going the surface way with the iPad Pro. Detachable from a MacBook lookalike body with an decent trackpad & magic keyboard and pen. If needed at home or work dock and go the MacPad Pro (@DewMe) way of doing things you always did, business as usual. I think slowly but surely we will get to this exact point in time. 

As mentioned earlier if this is case the small form factor is vintage. We will get an: ‘second edition(SE)’ iPhone 7, 8. Hopefully the battery will last longer than the 7 and 8. The proven CPU from the iPhone 11 will probably just do that. Storage will likely be 64GB and 256GB. In Europe I expect a price around €550 and €699 for the so called second edition iPhone 7, 8. Honestly I am sad that Apple does not dare to be different any more*. A small form factor with 4.7 inch screen is technically possible. Instead Apple goes the investors way. Less costs, proven technology and top margin on each sold device especially the 256GB version. 

We are moving to a service driven economy with centralized control. That’s something we cannot stop and is not limited to Apple alone, it is just the way the world is moving on. People are still strange but not the CEO of a large enterprise unfortunately.

Good job Apple. We all know that hardware is now days an almost saturated market so added services is the way to go in the iOS world of Apple devices.

Might be my next iPhone update from 8 to 9.
