No, the point of the patent system was to protect an invention from infringement by another invention or commercialized product, whether owned by an individual inventor or a company. 

While FBI data shows a 7% increase in property crimes between 2021 and 2022, it follows a decades long downward trend. The last reduction in the top tax rate was a reduction from 39.7% to 37% in 2017. 

So there is little to no correlation. If you want to talk poverty rates there is certainly room to discuss all the factors that may influence that, in some other forum.

If you buy a "Mercedes" you let them guide you through the features. Unless, of course, you're 9-Second guy who obviously is way too busy for that kind of hand-holding or social interaction, whether required for a product or not depending on your comfort level with figuring it all out on your own at home. I'm sure there'll be videos to get the basics.

I don't get the irritation some have about this. Apple will likely have chairs for you. And you're not obligated to buy--or buy-in. I'm not.

I think I agree with everything. I watch Monsters because I find the CGI excellent, even if the acting/scripts are laughable. For All Mankind ran out of ideas long ago and is now more soapy than ever. And Joel Kinnaman is hereby being nominated for the Worst Beard & Aging Makeup on Major TV. I find Foundation has very creative, almost beautiful, visuals, but I think condensing a few thousand pages of Asimov is proving too hard--others warned of this a couple of years ago, but I thought it might work. Wrong. The long time between seasons hasn't helped. 

I'll watch it because I like sci-fi, but there are problems.
