When have you ever seen "sponsored crap" answers surfaced in Google's Generative AI? Any example would be nice. Perhaps Microsoft does that, but I've yet to see a single instance on Google after thousands of information searches
I’ll provide you with some examples just as soon as I’ve closed the 10,000th “Sign in to Google”

Oh, good, you have some examples. I'm anxious to see whether it's Google Generative AI or instead something from Microsoft or "other".  I never seen one from Google yet.
I too am looking forward to these examples. I've used Bard many many times and have never seen a sponsored response. I'm pretty sure I've never seen a sponsored response when using Bing Chat either....

  • Rumor: iPhone 15 USB-C cable limited to USB 2.0 speeds, has no MFi

This sounds very plausibly Apple. I could imagine that Thunderbolt speeds are "available" on the Pro models, but you will need to buy an additional Thunderbotl USB-C cable that supports those speeds to achieve them. It's like wired mode on the $549 Airpods Max which requires an additional $35 cable to use and only Apple sells it. This would, however, be a giant middle finger to EU regulations since the phone's full capabilities couldn't be realized without buying an extra specialized cable, the very thing that the regulations were meant to stop.
If Apple is going to give its customers a data transfer experience akin to a budget Android phone unless they buy additional cables, then the giant middle finger really isn't being pointed at the EU...

  • Apple still doesn't need RCS, but the latest update brings it closer to being suitable for...

I presume the EU will mandate this next.
In Europe most people don't use iMessage and use an app like WhatsApp, so they already enjoy end-to-end encryption regardless of the device. Otherwise the EU mandating it would be an excellent idea! Seriously, I'm sure the EU will mandate interoperability using the forthcoming Messaging Layer Security (MLS) protocol in order to ensure end-to-end encryption between different messaging apps... that would make more sense than focussing on RCS.

  • Apple wants to control every image of an apple, says Swiss fruit firm

I have to side with Apple on this one. Clearly the Fruit Suisse people wanted to leverage the recognition and popularity of Apple when they revamped their logo. I struggle with the "+" symbol, too, as to me that relates to medical / first aid due to Red Cross. But I know that an "apple with a plus" predates Apple, so that may give the case legs.

You struggle with the "+" symbol? The white cross on a red background is the Swiss flag...

  • ChatGPT might quit the EU rather than comply with regulations

    Interesting update...
