Internal fighting and privacy concerns hinder Apple's ability to modernize Siri
Personally, I am not looking for Siri to become a chat GPT clone. But neither am I satisfied with the way it has been for all these years. If they are scurrying now, they should have been scurrying long before this. Absolutely bring back features that people had come to depend on and stop taking them away. This inconsistency, one minute it works the next minute it doesn’t, is one of the reasons why people have such issues with Siri. Bring us all the functionality that these neural engines can handle, and make it flawless. And then give Siri her own YouTube channel and let her toot her own horn. Put a likeable apple employee on the channel and give us weekly Siri functionality updates. It can be short, like Apple likes to do things, but we should not have to luck up on a video telling us previously undiscovered Siri features. What sense does it make to pay engineers to develop functionality that we don’t even know is there? Siri already can do a lot of things that the general public doesn’t know about -give us more, keep them consistent, and you will have fewer. Siri sucks complaints. -
Apple highlights importance of menstrual cycle studies for women's health
Another reason why Apple needs to put the health app on the iPad. This is information that I may want to enter into an app on my iPad, which largely stays at home as opposed to an app that is on my phone, that I sometimes let people borrow when I am not at home. The health app would also enable people to track medications in an app that is on a device that stays at home. I take my medication at home, not when I am out and about with my phone. Having the health app on the iPad would ensure better privacy. -
Apple to hold first in-person summit in years, focused on AI
I wonder if many people would be willing to pay a monthly subscription fee for an updated and much more capable and dependable Siri. Depending on how much it was, and what all it could do, I think I would be. Maybe that would give Apple a reason to concentrate more on it instead of something like this mixed reality headset that I’ll bet many people won’t be able to afford or will want. I don’t know. Just my opinion.
