iPad Air 5 benchmarks show identical performance to 11-inch iPad Pro
Just a small thing, but it’s something that I really enjoy. The difference in microphones. I had a 10. 5 inch iPad Pro which I believe is the identical microphone set up to the new iPad Air. Now that I have the M1 iPad Pro with its magnificent microphone array there is a definite difference in whether or not Siri hears me, over a podcast that I might be listening to or other media. As I say, a small thing, but if I want Siri to turn out the lights it’s much more handy to have Siri that actually hears me. -

Happy birthday to Siri, the first and most frustrating voice assistant
silly me. I was hoping that for Siri‘s 10th birthday Apple would give her awesome functionality and new features and fix the old ones that were broken. I used to be able to say “add” to my text message whenever I thought of some thing else that I had meant to say. It won’t take that anymore. Or “change.” Well, at least they didn’t boast about giving her another, better new voice. If they had I think I would’ve thrown my iPad up against the wall. -
Apple removes Siri features used by visually impaired users
I noticed that the “add” command is now missing from Siri for when you are having Siri send a message and you remember something else that you want to say before she stops taking dictation. You used to be able to say “add” and Siri would say go ahead. She would then read the whole thing back to you. But the ability to add additional text is now missing. Hope that gets put back. I use it a lot.
