Arm CEO 'excited' about its future as an independent company
michelb76 said:Wow, so they did a full 360 about the IPO? A month ago they said it would be the worst thing to happen because of possible shareholder pressure.
It remains to be seen how the company will be valued. The 66 billion dollars NVIDIA was willing to pay seems a bit excessive for the revenue and profits ARM generates, for the stock value I mean. -

I was just starting to browse the rumour mill when M2 Pro/Max will come out, is that your guess or is there corroboration on the timeline? Was kind of looking to get one for next Fall/Winter. I can wait for 2023, but thanks to COVID it would be no trouble to budget it for this year. -

After the first few episodes I decided to take this as something inspired by the books and enjoy them as is. So far it seems like a space opera rather than a superior intelligence measuring competition between the characters like the books really are. Oh and I like how this feels like a totally different storyline.
Perfect? No, I still have my complaints. Enjoyable? Sure, but not for fundamentalists who feel offended about changes. -
