Audacity 3.0 called spyware over data collection changes by new owner

Those who claim to be aware enough to avoid it might be okay but the common user will choose to install some cutesy app from god-knows-where and, well, there you have it. It’s probably coming and iOS users will be in the same camp as Android users. Buyer beware.
Mac users may be more inclined to dl outside of the MAS than iOS users outside of the App Store, but I still think the majority of apps are dl'd through it. Windows is the exception because Windows users typically are more used to downloading from the web instead of an app store, which really wasn't a thing until Win8 in 2012. No, Windows Marketplace (hahahahahahahahaha) doesn't count. Wait, where was I?
Oh yeah, please stop with the FUD.
As I already said, sideloading and alternate app stores ave alway been a reality for Android. Their impact could generously be called minimal. More accurately, the impact could be described as near non-existent. I'm pretty confident it will be the same for the App Store. -

Apple declares 12-inch MacBook from 2015 a vintage product
This comment was typed on a 17" mid 2010 MBP running High Sierra... with nVidia graphic no less. Still does everything I want it to do. Still does almost everything my 2015 MBP can do. It has aged nicely. This monster has been "Obsolete" for over 5 years and still runs like a champ. An older retired champ, but a champ nonetheless.
Heck, even the gigantic BookBook I keep it stored in has aged nicely. Any issues that occurred during it's lifetime were mostly repaired by me or my guy who's been repairing computers since the late 80's.
Truthfully, I never liked the MB. I thought it was a compromised stopgap computer. That being said, I'm sure anybody with one should have it for quite a while. Caveat being the health of the keyboard. I doubt it will last as long as my gray aircraft carrier, but it should be around for a while. -
Xbox Game Pass launches on iPhone, iPad

It would make no sense for MS to limit xCloud to xB1 versions when xCloud will be running on custom Series X servers. It would also make no sense because they want that sweet, sweet reoccurring subscription revenue. No would subscribe for access to a back catalog only. That silly. Regardless, this is getting tiring. You think one thing, I think another. Time will be the arbiter of veracity.
