Rumor: 'iPhone 12' will look like a slimmer, taller iPhone 11
GeorgeBMac said:... And justifiably so...
The general, non-technical public doesn't give a damn about technology or trying to keep up with it. It is only concerned with: "What does this thing do for me?". Not only does USB-C do nothing for them but instead means they have to buy a bunch of new charging cords. So no, they won't be happy.
Non-technical public: What does this do for us?
Techies: You can use just one charger and cable to charge your MacBook whatever and your iPhone, and iPad Pro if you have one.
Non-technical public: Just one cable and charger for all my devices? I'm sold. -

Tenth developer beta of macOS Catalina now available [u]

"Apple Arcade and Apple TV+ require a subscription. Apple Arcade is now available on iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV and will be available on Mac this fall."
There is no way it's coming out this Friday. Putting aside the fact that it's an odd-time for a major macOS release, there's still some broken things that need fixing and testing, and it would be crazy for them to release Catalina on Friday, without at least another beta.
