Three things Apple got wrong with the Vision Pro launch
I’d like to note that when I preordered mine, I did the fit test multiple times and was given two different results. 21W and 33W. I settled with the 33W but as the two week waiting period dragged on, I noticed that the majority of people were fitted for 21W. Got me wondering. When I went to pick it up, I asked to try on both light seals before leaving and they were giving me such a hassle. The rep told me she had to ask her manager first and I kept getting the run around saying the manager was busy. Then they told me I can take home what I ordered and come back if it doesn’t fit right. I told them I was not leaving without the proper fit and going to cancel my order if I don’t try on both light seals. The whole ordeal took over an hour. Needless to say I was extremely frustrated.By the way, the 21W actually turned out to be the better fit, against the 33W that the Apple Store app recommended the majority of the time. -
How to use Mac Virtual Display for Apple Vision Pro with desktop Macs and MacBooks
Mike Wuerthele said:rcs1000 said:itinj24 said:Does the desktop Mac need a display for this to work? In other words, can I just setup a Mac Mini and use the AVP as its only/primary display? Guessing I’ll need one initially to setup the prerequisites like Bluetooth and WiFi.
And will this work over the Internet if I'm in a coffee shop?
In answer to your question, RCS1000, it works with my Mac Studio with the Wi-Fi off, so existing LAN, it seems. It does not work over the Internet if you're in a coffee shop. -

Wired CarPlay vs. wireless - the pros and cons
My biggest issue with wireless CarPlay is that you lose connection to your home Wi-Fi network when CarPlay connects. Living in an area with poor cellular service, I rely heavily on Wi-Fi to stay connected. So if I go into my garage, start my car, wireless CarPlay connects. But then, while my car is warming up, I can’t set up a navigation route because of the poor cellular connection.
