Looking forward to this tech and going back to LCD, all the advantages of OLED without the burn in or screen retention issues. Will be checking out the new iPads if they make mini LED this year. If we get out of lockdown.

I don't think anyone can speculate at present about this as we don't have anywhere near enough facts about it. This may even just be text that was entered in case it was needed, may have been to prepare for some potential issue they were facing that never happened etc. So for the moment I would take it at face value for what it is till we know more.

Well if you mean you can pay Apple to replace it IF they deem it necessary, you cannot just ask them to replace it for you, they need to tear it on their diagnostics software for confirmation first, hence these on going cases that rightfully sue and fine Apple for when their software stated their was no battery problem when there was, thus many bought new iPhones for no reason.
Plus if you have your battery replaced you will lose the water resistance the device had because the seal is then broken.

I find this utterly reckless and totally irresponsible. The case is important but to have people face to face with the pandemic is just ill thought out poor behaviour. Especially when we have the technology to make personal court appearances in cases like this unnecessary. Their aren’t any criminal murders in the dock..

I doubt very much that criticism from a Select Committee in the UK is going to bother or fool Apple in the slightest. 

It will do when it comes to that US trade deal... And it shows poor responsibility by Apple too, to not even send a representative, very poor showing and shows total lack of respect. Governments make the rules corporations have to follow.
