Apple asks UK landlords to cut Apple Store rents in half
So Apple spends all its time doing virtue signalling, then here in the U.K. they pay less then 8 million tax on nearly 2 billion declared earnings, and they just posted record global earnings for the quarter but they want to cut their rent in half, whilst other stores are struggling to survive and actually pay their full taxes..
This leaves a very sour taste in the mouth and is enough frankly to put you off Apple and it’s products. It yet again shows it knows no bounds to its endless greed. Apple should be paying 50% more in rent if anything.

Apple makes $1.8 billion in UK, but pays just $8m in tax
lkrupp said:"Government is not the solution to the problem, government IS the problem." Ronald Reagan
The more we can starve the government of income the less destructive it will be for the people. Apple should not pay one penny more in taxes than it absolutely has to. Use every loophole, every legal means to reduce one's tax bill. That should be everyone's personal motto too. -
Apple Stores in Australia to re-close amid coronavirus resurgence
And WHO has had to admit it cannot rule out the possibility of Covid being airborne, yet plenty of idiots refuse to wear masks, then again I live in the U.K. with the most incompetent government ever who refuse to enforce the wearing of masks.. I have been wearing one every time I go out for almost since day one! They said at the beginning it was suspected to be airborne, you can have herd immunity of course, so long as your comfortable with all the deaths that’ll be caused to get there... Potentially millions of deaths from totally over whelmed health systems.
lockdown is the only solution along with track and trace. -

Europe presses Apple for more iPhone 'batterygate' compensation
cjk91108 said:This is the concern with initially accepting the answer forced on them by their lack of strong response. The reason for the slow down was engineering. A cell out of balance with the others can (and has for many of my customers) caused a crash/system reset. The fine is ridiculous, Apple might continue to allow inexpensive battery replacement. These types of shake downs are happening in many industries these days. Maybe in a time before good information was a available this was a problem but to continue to find smaller and smaller examples to show that things are still out of control is benefiting very few. I do not for a moment believe that those users have been scammed out of the ROI of their device because Apple chose to limit battery usage when the battery began degrade with age. Not even Apple can stop physics. And what about those people who bought new iPhones because Apple told them their was absolutely nothing wrong with their batteries according to Apple diagnostics software.. Apple has got off incredibly lightly so far for its criminal act here, and yes it was a criminal act in some cases, like telling people to buy a new iPhone because their software stated the battery was fine, and let’s not forgot it wasn’t till Apple was caught red handed it was deliberately slowing phones down before they admitted it.. guilt all over them. Personally I’d have slapped Apple with a few billion dollars in fines and placed them under strict audits for 2 years to check they were not misdirecting consumers.
