  • Apple TV+ subscribers irked by 'Greyhound' audio sync issue

Can someone please help this old lady how to watch GREYHOUND on Appletv with subtitles/closed captions?
I watched the  move without them and could barely understand a word.
Now I’ve jumped through all the hoops to get cc set up and nothing happened.
So, I’m wondering.... maybe subtitles aren’t even available on Greyhound.
    Help!
if you have the tv gen 4, while watching a video, swipe down on the top of the glass remote and options should appear. they are subtitles, sound etc.
    -hope this helps!

  • Should you wait for Apple Silicon to upgrade to a new Mac?

Perhaps a more useful article would be how to extend the life of your current Mac so you can wait it out. I've made some MacBook last a very long time a decade with the proper RAM upgrade, SSD upgrade, internal cable replacement and battery replacement. I've done it for friends too, all you need is a $2 screw driver and YouTube. Include proper care (external casing), keyboard cleaning, backups, etc.

i enjoyed reading your post, we should get he most out of our MacBooks and iMacs and productively use them until lighting or coffee destroys them, not time.
most forums forbid such DIY advice.

what i did this year was get parts for a MBA logic board i found in 2015 that cost under $40. i am currently using this setup (mountain lion OSX) for my freelance work only.
My ideology is most people who use their laptops for work  seem to hate using their laptops after work hours, so they grab an iPad, surface or phone to surf the web or do what every their laptop does.

i might get a MacBook pro with the chip just so i can use some iPad apps to replace adobe photoshop. My concern is having another laptop which would be the third and a half i need to upgrade, clean, back-up and make sure that works as good as possible.

  • Apple upping MacBook Pro orders as working from home demand continues

Surprisingly PC mag reported that HP sold the most laptops this year, twice as much as Dell and Lenovo.
i wish i could find that article or something supporting this, but when i searched "what company sold the most laptops in 2020"
the results were "what laptop you should buy" instead of facts.

i think most users will wait until the new silicon macs arrive later this year or 2021.

  • Apple's Mac mini is the little Mac that could, 15 years later

I liked mine i purchased new in 2012 but sold last year for a good price. the bluetooth and airdrop were not up to par and the USB needed more umphz. Mojave flew on that when using 10GB of ram. i miss the style shinny aluminum or what ever metal they used, but the mini was acting as a TV and i figured someone else can use that more than me, which was the case.
