  • macOS Sequoia brings iPhone remote control and new Passwords app

Lots of great features but unfortunately the password app won't do me or my family any good. It's just too simple with only a Notes section for additional info, and I don't suspect that Apple will be making it more feature robust in the foreseeable future.

Yay, a Fisher-Price, Catalyst version of Keychain Access, a 25-year-old app we've had since Mac OS 8.6. Seriously?  :|
Ah, yes, because looking through cryptic filename for SparseBundles, complex SHA keys, certificates that they'll never need to analyze, and countless private keys that make absolutely no sense to the average person.

You're in luck because based on what I saw Keychain Access will still need to be accessible.

  • Elon Musk's latest anti-Apple tirade is about a ChatGPT feature that doesn't exist

Do you want me to use ChatGPT to do that? Cancel or Use ChatGPT

This also tells me that Apple is giving up on trying to implement their own LLM.

Just like they gave up on trying to implement their own maps service because they partnered with Google Maps?

I'd look it at the way you can search your devices now using Apple's search options, but if you go to Safari you have Google and many other search engine options to choose for an internet search.

PS: Do you really think you won't be able to disable it in Settings?

Musk and Trump are both examples of men who buy businesses started by smart people, or buy smart people to run their businesses. Then promote the myth that they themselves are brilliant. Mediocre brains with a nose for business + affluent parents to prime the pump.
Not sure about Musk, but Trump doesn't have a good history of hiring smart people over sycophants and lickspittles. Just look at how may have gone to jail for trying to cover up his significant history of criminal actives. But leaving that aside, the number of failed businesses indicate that he doesn't attract smart people. At least Musk has that going for him despite him bringing his own brand of flim flam narcissism to the table.

    1) I'm surprised Polish hasn't already been added.
    Siri lacks polish... and Polish.

I've probably been waiting 40 years to make that joke.

    2) You can add simultaneous, multiple language support under Setting » Siri & Search » Messaging with Siri for reading your texts to you, but will not change the primary language Siri listens and responds to. In the future, I can see Apple allowing Siri to listen in multiple languages but I expect that it will only ever respond in a single language for the foreseeable future.
