Apple executives say creating Mac Studio was 'overwhelming'
This computer would never have made it to daylight if Jony Ive was still at Apple.Ports- plenty of them- even in the front? Unbelievable.
Looks like it can cool itself- and isn't a funky shape that no one knows what to do with- ie Cube or Trash Can Mac Pro.Still not upgradeable- no slots- while every PC in this price range can and does do both.I'm waiting on one. We'll see what it runs like when it shows up. -
Adobe Creative Cloud Pro offers over 200 million assets for professionals
Gee thanks Adobe.
I used to have an amazing service called Dollar Photo Club- where I paid a buck a piece for each photo. Then you bought it- and gave me some credits for my credits- but- made them expire.Now- you want to give me "unlimited" access- but- raise my cost $40 a month.
Can we say monopoly?
And what happens in my small business- can I get pro- and the rest of my team- not pro?
Or is it buy one license- all licenses have to be the same? -
Apple declares 13-inch MacBook Pro from 2012 'obsolete'
The last great, user upgradeable Mac.
Sad.
No dongles. A good keyboard. Ports galore.
I'd give anything for the exact same thing- with a USB C port, USB A port, Mag Safe power as well as USB C as an option. I'd be willing to concede the DVD drive- although I'm really starting to wonder about archiving all this 4K video- if someone is going to come out with a new solution....
Hard drives go bad...

Intel takes aim at Apple, instead shoots itself in the dongle
I hope it wakes the morons at Apple up.
My 2020 Mac Book pro barely qualifies as pro.A "pro computer" that I need a dongle to hook up to an external projector, monitor or ethernet.
A pro computer that ditched the brilliant mag safe power cable.
A pro computer than no longer allows me to stick an SD card in it.
A pro computer that requires a dongle to connect a USB A jump drive- the industry standard way of walking files.
And- they gouge me on the price of RAM, Storage by 3 to 10x what everyone else charges.
With no user replaceable parts- and barely serviceable.
And that was my Intel machine.
Now- my M1 MacMini- can't connect to my Drobo- which is a 72 TB paperweight.
Gee - thanks Apple. -
