  • Apple still has a lot of secret apps for Vision Pro in the works

    Tim Cook announces
    • Augmented or 3D Apple TV+ content
I knew it, this will be very interesting. There’s also a rumor that there’s thing this called Immersion Camera that can film professional videos at 3D. Apparently they’re using it in Taylor Swift’s current tour which will be an Apple exclusive (per two unrelated comments I saw on two social media platforms)

  • Apple's machine learning head departs to run AI thinktank

I think Ali Farhadi's appointment as the CEO of the Allen Institute for Artificial Intelligence (AI2) is a remarkable development. His extensive background in AI and machine learning, his experience as an entrepreneur, academic, and a researcher, combined with his tenure at Apple, make him an ideal leader for an institute of AI2's caliber.

However, it's also important to note that his departure from Apple might impact the tech giant's machine learning initiatives. It will be interesting to see how both organizations evolve following this transition.

    Did AI write this?

They are pulling an Intel maneuver remember them? If this is true then Apple may need to make long range plans, seems like the perfect excuse to bring it on home. In the short term hopefully Apple and Sony can work it out, but……… Apple may need to go more vertical at home in the USA, buyback money maybe needs to be reallocated.
I don't know that Apple could take over the production of their own headset displays even if they wanted to. I had assumed it was an Apple invention that they contracted Sony to produce, but it is not. Apple is using a Sony-engineered and developed display tech, which is no doubt heavily protected with patents.

Sony actually revealed the product over a year ago. We just didn't know Apple was buying it for their Vision Pro

Interesting! i would assume they have some exclusivity contract since Apple is the only one to use the technology?

  • Five boring apps that Apple shouldn't forget about for the Apple Vision Pro

Also Health and any other app that’s on the phone but took years for the ipad to adopt it.

  • Eddy Cue says MLS deal was about Apple sticking to things it could do well

Really don’t see the benefit of Apple being in the content business. Their offering is so small and just serves to justify their Apple One subscription prices. I really wish their subscription bundles could be more flexible as I would love to keep the level I have, just without TV+.
in 2019 it was really small but it has been growing quite nicely.
