Three things Apple got wrong with the Vision Pro launch
To me it’s the fit that is the biggest issue. I knew what I was getting and at what price but comfort is key. I went through way too many light seals until I found the one I like. While the Apple Store by me was very nice about trying on different light seals, you truly don’t know how comfortable it is until you wear it for at least an hour or more. On top of that when you put on the ZEISS lenses it basically recommends a different size, adding to complexity. What I thought was a good fit, suddenly kept giving me warnings when putting on the zeiss lenses that I’m too close to the screen. The strap and solo knit band are part of the problem. The knit band puts too much pressure on my face to support the weight of the AVP, so I need a different size seal than if I use the strap that goes over your head. Hopefully third party accessories can help solve this problem but for almost 4000 dollars, this was hugely disappointing to me more than anything.
