It’s pure dictator schtick. The guy surrounds himself with clowns and wants to control everything. Companies should pass Trumps tariff/taxes onto consumers and blame the dictator.

The Trump circus is probably more concerned about the US being at the leading edge of technology. Apple should make its most sophisticated and advanced components in the US. This would probably solve everything.

You don’t have to read between the lines with this President. Apple, Samsung, etc al…shower Trump with expensive gifts or give him a sea-can filled with cash; a giant gold plated Trump statue for the White House lawn. This should reduce the tariff down to 5%. -
It's still cheaper to import iPhones with 25% tariffs, than assemble in the US
Apple would probably make Trump happy if they said they will manufacture the most sophisticated components in the US. Leave the assembly and manufacture of secondary components to other countries like China.
