  • Jony Ive is now looking for funding to jump on the AI development train

The amount of grammatical mistakes in this article is high even for AI standards! Was it rushed out?

Sorry but Canstorm's reply to you was spot on.  No doubt you have refused to purchase any AAPL stock too.  I first bought AAPL in 1999 when Steve Jobs was back, the stock was rising a little, because I believed in the company since 1984, and because I said to myself, "why the heck not?"  I've never sold a single share.  I was not wealthy, nor did I come from a wealthy family.  Ever dollar in my possession at the time mattered to me.  Yet I chose to invest a little anyway.  Glad I did.

It never ceases to shock and amaze me how people who deliberately refuse to become financially savvy are the first to chastise anyone and everyone they deem rich, who in reality is anyone a tiny bit wealthier than themselves.

    Here's some great advice...

Stop criticizing everyone, even truly bad people.  Take charge of your own life.  Follow the lead of those who have become a success even if you don't know them personally.  Don't let failure stop you because you will fail.  Keep going.  One day, you will be pleasantly surprised with your nest egg, and your kindness in not criticizing others will be a shining beacon to all around you.

Amazingly said JDW! Spot on and a great philosophy for life.

  • Former Oculus chief: Apple Vision Pro is the VR industry's new Northstar

Why don’t you post a link to what you said back then? I’d be interested to read it. Thanks.

Going back to when Oculus Rift was the big thing and everyone was calling for Apple to develop a VR headset, I called the Vision Pro.

I said that Apple would in no way make a VR headset because it doesn’t fit in with their business model.

I said that if Apple went down the headset route it would build an AR headset that would have a “platform” behind it that would allow developers to make a vast array of apps for it. This would allow VR apps but it would not be its main task.

I was wholly right of course because Vision Pro makes sense for Apple.

I’m super excited to see where developers will take this but I’m worried they’ll wuss out and try and take it down the VR route.

AR has far more potential than VR.

  • Why drivers in Scotland are crashing because of bad Apple Maps data

In that photo, it appears the stairs are hard to see. This looks to be on the city council for not putting up proper barriers or signs.

Also in the photo, you will see that the drivers had to mount a curb and drive across a pavement (side walk) to enter the road. Surely that is a big deterrent on its own and would raise some flags to any semi intelligent driver?
