Old iPads are a staple in US homes, long after they've gone obsolete
Sounds like the problem is people not keeping iPhones going.But iPads are just toys anyway, as long as they keep playing solitaire there's no need to replace them.I've got an original mini that's absolutely great for a couple 32-bit games that never got updated.

It doesn't surprise me that Apple isn't negotiating in good faith. Hopefully the threat of a strike will be enough that Apple takes them seriously.All of retail needs to unionize. Retail workers have been abused for far too long.

By 1998 I'd been on the internet for over a decade. 1998 was the year I upgraded from a POTS modem connection to ISDN, ethernet was pretty important by then.
