Apparently an appeals court has lifted the first court block in tariffs but a second court has also placed a new block.

Wall Street is now calling it TACO trade.

I remember looking at a project (I think it was called Apple Sauce or SOS) that allowed you to create images of old Apple II 5.25” disks. I have some 40 year old Apple II disks that I wonder if they still have data on them.

No doubt that's true. And the components on those subassemblies may also be made in China. But all my future iPhones that I buy will be assembled in a democracy, not a communist haven where genocide occurs.

Except not really since most of the human labor and materials expended per iPhone will still be from China. A tech in an Apple Store could probably do a final assembly of an iPhone from the subcomponents but all the heavy and sophsticated machinery, labor and investment is where ever they make and load the PCBs and build the complicated subassemblies.
