  • Italian regulator says Apple's iCloud terms are unreasonable, may be illegal

They delete your files after 180 days even if you have paid for the period ahead of time?

I hope Brazil wins, chargers are like 3-4x the price out there than they are for Americans. It’s not fair at all.
What's not fair? That you don't get what you don't pay for.
Maybe you should be more concerned with the ridiculously high tariffs and import duties on the chargers.
Charging a phone is an essential process needed to make the phone work. Not selling a phone with all the necessary components is strange indeed. Not everyone has a dozen USB chargers in their kitchen junk drawers waiting for use, which is probably more likely in poorer countries.
Then why can manufacturers not include batteries in products? Can’t operate without them. Does Brazil require batteries in every product that needs them? I’m sure Brazil has enough places that sell USB chargers and people who can buy iPhones know where to find them. Brazil might be a poor country but not iPhone buyers. Just like in the US there are poor people who can’t purchase anything much less an iPhone.
Generally in the past batteries leaked once they exceeded their shelf life so including them in product boxes was usually avoided.

  • 'Fortnite' not coming back to iOS or Mac any time soon

Why do these appeal options even exist for cases that don't have any new evidence/data? A ruling was made, abide by it and move on.
Because the purpose of an appeals court is to review how the law was applied to the facts in evidence. Not to gather new evidence.

Apple's vision of putting user privacy-first is just marketing.
They just 'turn off' their mantra in Belarus, China, Colombia, Egypt, Kazakhstan, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Turkmenistan, Uganda and the Philippines (and counting)....
Agree. But what should they do instead?
Take the money if they want but stop pontificating about how ethical they are.
Wrong. By talking about the changes they need to make and raising awareness about which countries require those changes, they do more to influence eventual change in those countries than simply storming out of the sandbox like a spoiled child.

They don’t influence shit. It is just meaningless talk. Everybody knows in the end they aren’t going to stand up for anything. Must feel nice to pat yourself on the head but if you don’t put your money and blood into the game then everything you say is meaningless. Let’s all give each other a big group hug and tell ourselves that at least we meant well.
