No, it isn't. Try telling the cop who pulls you over for speeding that you shouldn't be cited because "that other guy was going even faster." It doesn't change the facts in your particular case and its sole purpose is to deflect attention.georgie01 said:

Really odd phrasing. Contextually, "legally mandated" implies they're only making the earnings call because they are required to do so by law. It's a simple earnings call. Publicly traded companies do them all the time. During Microsoft's earnings call is how that should be written, imo. Afaik, earnings call aren't even legally mandated.

I do not understand this attitude. I'm thrilled that Apple doesn't assume we need a new charger for every device and makes them available separately if needed. If you want to take 20% off if it's purchased as part of a bundle, that would be fine, but don't generate potential extra electronic waste.
