They always show Universal Control between a Mac and an iPad, but I haven't yet seen it addressed whether it can work purely between two iPads, or two Macs. Is that possible? Is a Mac always required? Also what is the limit on the number of devices, is it just two at a time?

Kind of arbitrary to say that "Mac OS X" lasted 19 years, but seemingly base that on the major version number, not the actual name..? It's silly anyway since Big Sur is still just yet another iteration of Mac OS X 10, whatever it's called. It'll probably wind up lasting 30, 40 years.

I could maybe see it being for developers to create apps for a future AR product, whether the glasses or to simulate the experience of an Apple Car.

Ugh, sorry to nitpick but why do so many people assume podcasts were Apple's "creation"? I see this claim a lot for some reason. They were a grassroots invention that took advantage of open standards like RSS, and piggybacked on the popularity of the iPod, but Apple had no hand in the creation of the technology. Apple jumped on an existing bandwagon when they added Podcasts to iTunes in 2005.
