  • Apple HomeHub - What an iPad and HomePod fusion should deliver

I think the majority of loyal Apple customers have been holding out for HomeKit to be more robust and offer more competitive and compelling security cameras/sensors, video doorbells, water detection sensors, Siri smarts, etc etc etc.  It finally feels like it’s getting close.

Once Thread and WiFi 6e compatibility are baked into HomeKit SecureVideo cameras and mesh routers, I’ll be arming my entire house once and for all.  I haven’t wanted to treat this as a hobbyist experiment, which is what it’s seemed like based on all the setup hassles and shortcomings in the reviews and commentaries.

Can’t wait for Plug and Play - it just works simplicity with no bridges.

Looks like Mark is still cutting his own hair with a bowl during quarantine.

The Chinese have defeated the US as far as their economy and I’m sure their embarrassed.

If we could get our congress to stop reading Dr. Seuss and playing with children’s toys, we might not need to worry about it.
Last I checked the Chinese don’t use GAAP accounting standards and have a lot of shady investments going on.  Also, of their 1.4B people, probably 1B are living hand to mouth, in very polluted air and water, not to mention in a totalitarian regime.  Hardly what I would consider a great economy, let alone a great place to live.  No thanks.

Looks like the Chinese didn’t want to be outdone by the Ruskies.

These communist dictatorships are desperate for western tech.  The Chinese should be embarrassed of their blatant stealing.  At least the Russians had a legitimate space program developed on their own.

And shame on us for being so naive.

  • Tim Cook says he's 'greatly optimistic' about Apple's future at shareholders meeting

Cook's comments on world events, including Apple's donations to causes, makes me think that Cook has presidential aspirations.

    • His slogan: "We need a good Cook in the White House."
    • Alternate slogan: "Let's get Cook'in." (actually, this is decent)
Bezos with the Washington Post influence, and other ventures, and Cook as President.  Bet Cook would devise a comprehensive step-by-step plan (CookBook) to actually start reducing the budget deficit and overall debt, not just lip service like most other politicians whom merely cook the books and kick the can down the road to the next generation.

This country needs to start electing proven “can do” intelligent people, not popularity contest winners.
