  • Apple's research of Apple Watch charging coil use for haptic feedback could lead to thinne...

Wonder if Apple could have the new MagSafe on the iPhone 12 charge an AppleWatch directly.  If not iPhone 12 or AW 6 then future iterations.  This would eliminate the concern of remembering to charge the watch daily and the need to carry a watch charger when traveling.

And if your band is a Milanese loop or some other permanent loop band it could still fit around the phone, so no band removal needed (unless if you have a tiny band trying to wrap around an iP12 Pro Max, but then only one end of the band would need to be disconnected).

Or for when I’m out and about and trying to get hold of my wife who’s taking a nap or long bath or watching TV, with her phone on a different floor.  Happens often.  Say in the second or third text or call attempt (user selectable) Intercom kicks in “Hubby is trying to contact wifey, would you like to respond?”

You are so spot on with this particular comment!!!
I'll send a text inquiring if she read the text I just sent her...

Funny thing is she expects me to be at her beck and call instantly and constantly because she’s so accustomed to me being responsive thanks to my AppleWatch.  She doesn’t want to wear a watch so Intercom could be the ticket.  But something tells me she’ll ignore Intercom unless she feels it might be important.  😂

Would be great if Homepods could relay doorbell rings and garage door openings for those times you’re at home and don’t have your IPhone with you or your Apple Watch on, perhaps with Intercom announcing “Someone is ringing the front doorbell” (“Would you like to respond?”) or “Someone just opened the garage door”, ...

  • Analysts worry about UK 5G support in 'iPhone 12'

Wouldn’t be just dandy if the carriers in the US would actually provide signal to areas other than the big cities and along the interstate?

It’s like my phone bill is taxed fees every month to provide cellular service to “rural” areas, but nothing is ever provided. It’s almost like these fees are just subsides to the phone companies who turn around and give them to their investors and politicians.

No, instead, we spend for tech we don’t need, instead of tech we do need.

Why would they?   That's a money losing proposition.

A century ago the U.S. faced the same predicament with electricity.   They solved it back then with government programs such as the TVA.   But that was back when America saw itself as a growing and promising nation and was willing to invest in itself and its future.
This is where the SpaceX StarLink network of satellites that is being deployed will earn its keep -  rural internet, which could help with rural calls, globally.

  • Next Apple TV could use A12Z or "A14X" in big Apple Arcade push

Would love to have a continuously smooth interactive Look Around driving simulator that enables one to virtually tour any town.  Then layer video game AR themes on top for those that want: car chases, classic cars, muscle cars, Italian cars, etc.  Apple has all the ingredients to pull off a fantastic experience.  It would be like Microsoft’s Flight Simulator, albeit on the ground.
