Apple may launch its own web-based search engine
It'd likely be a mistake at this point to ditch the billions of revenue from Google (not that Apple's hurting for billions), but like with so many outside services and component manufactures (Power PC > Intel > AppleSilicon), just like their transitions away from these, it would seem to me to make sense to have an in-house search engine ready to go………just in case. It certainly might also offer a big boost to the much-maligned Siri, if for no other reason.

Given Microsoft's past performance regarding deregulation and monopolistic practices, he really should keep his mouth shut. Guess he still holds a grudge against Apple, particularly now that Apple has surpassed even his wildest dreams!

As someone who often comes to Apple's defense, particularly in cases of frivolous lawsuits, this is a new low for Apple. What are they thinking?! Or in this case, NOT thinking!

Wouldn't it be ironic if this weakened Epic to the point of having to sell………and wouldn't it be beyond ironic if Apple ended up owning the Unreal Engine which is the so critical not just to Epic's games, but other games in the App Store and even Apple's subscription games platform.
