  • Apple makes counterclaims in Caltech Wi-Fi lawsuit, settles in Siri-related Dot 23 case

The pattern in these cases holds a certain implication.  That Apple plays fairly, settling when their own read of a patent indicates they are actually infringing all, or part, of the patent, and fighting when they feel they are either not infringing or when they feel the licensing demands are outsized.  With a company as large as Apple, innovating in many aspects on their products, there's bound to be some patents they don't review as they're doing R&D and engineering.  That's normal and so you'd expect a big company like Apple to be found to infringe a patent here and there.  It's how they handle those situations that tells you a lot about the company and its management.  I'd say Apple tries to conduct itself in a respectful manner toward patent holders who have solid inventions that are actually new and novel.
Did Apple's PR department write that for you?

While I have all apple equipment, and of course stock,,, what I see is Apple falling seriously behind on their phone releases.. Silly things like when should I go to sleep based on when I woke up! Give me a break, silly sh**. In fairness, compare the new galaxies against the now aging iPhone, if your honest, the reaction would be, 'what's apple doing, sleeping, no wonder they are loosing high end market share! Come on Apple, the rumor mill says but wait till next year,,, then next year you will be trying to catch back up! Hum,,, those making fun of the iris scanning capabilities here,,, what were you saying a week or so ago when the rumor mill was building up Apple "MAY" come out with this in a few years???? Being from a manufacturing background and in IT, what I truly see is Apple lagging behind and being left in the dust on this equipment! I'm sure all the fanboys will be working their fingers hard at rebuking and picking this post apart, but this is what I and a lot of the others are seeing happening currently....
Please describe in detail where Samsung is leaving "...Apple in the dust".  Give specifics.  Hopefully you have more than the iris scanner.

    Never saw this before.

Once upon a time, articles were actually posted by Kasper in person, then the machine mind staged a coup and imprisoned Kasper, who hasn't been since.  Articles were then posted by Kasper' Automated slave (overlord).  Later still, the machine mind grew clever and articles started to be posted with alternative bylines in order to assuage suspicion at the takeover and make it appear there were actually humans behind them.

Read up on it. Numerous studies show bloodless surgery has more benefits for the patient, the hospital, and even the administration.

My comment however was a semantic thing. The issue wouldn't have happened had they used bloodless surgery because they wouldn't have used blood. A spelling mistake would not have caused the death because they wouldn't have ordered the blood in the first place. :-)
The woman in question was having major heart surgery, I was wondering whether it was actually possible to operate on that particular organ without having any blood loss, hence wanting to know if you were a surgeon.

That wouldn't have happened if the surgeon had used bloodless surgery techniques which are now becoming more common than blood transfusions.

Man blood transfusions are such archaic medical practices.
