  • Apple, Google workers among top donors to Bernie Sanders campaign

No, it's not. Their standards of living are lower than in the US; far lower. And his regulation plans are more strict than the European countries, who are running away from socialism.

No, it's higher.  If you take ALL of the U.S. into account, including the vast lower class that seem invisible and the poverty stricken areas where people have much greater concerns than who to vote for, the average standard of living in the U.S. is lower.  It's not a comparison of Scandinavian countries overall and U.S. cities which have a high standard of living.
Their standard of living is high, not through socialism (that crock of shit never did anyone any good) but because of geographical circumstances, small populations and great resources. Anyone who thinks these countries are a benchmark for the rest of the world is deluded.
It's almost as bad as saying we should look to Dubai as an economy to aspire to !

  • Google mulling deep Android support for Apple's Swift language - report

I don't get why Apple bothered open sourcing it. It just gives competitors a helping hand IMO.
It's not like Apple needs Swift endorsed by Google for the language to be a success, it's going to have widespread adoption within Apple's own ecosystem.

Though I do look forward to being able to use Swift for server side code.

  • Only months after launch, 'Disney Infinity' ditches support for Apple TV

    Strange move by Disney

Glad I didn't buy it.  This may be a sign the AppleTV isn't doing to well for gaming. Apple needs to lift the limitation that all games need to work with the Siri remote. That really limits the types of games that can be made on the device.
I really wonder how many people are using TV for games. My guess is not many. Serious gamers would be using a console or gaming PC and everyone else is probably just playing games on their iPad or iPhone. If Apple really wanted TV to be a gaming platform they would have made a controller for it and included it in the box.
Apple are not targeting 'serious' gamers... just yet. Apple are entering the industry through the back door, targeting casual gamers first, and doing a very good job of it.

  • New iPhone model with curved glass case, 5.8" AMOLED display due in 2017, insider says

Perhaps a rumour started by Samsung who already sell a curved AMOLED phone. So they can say "hey, Apple are planning this in two years, and we already have it".
In reality, Apple never goes that direction whatsoever because it turns out consumers hate it. I had a friend of mine switch from iPhone to the Samsung S7 last week. I told him he would regret it and come back to iPhone... 3 days later he took it back because he hated the screen,

  • Imagination Technologies says cost & job cuts linked to slower iPhone sales

iPhone sales slowing down before a 2 year iPhone revision... Who'd have thunk it.
