  • BMW owners unable to access CarPlay due to apparent subscription service outage

This is absolutely pathetic. I would not be entertaining this. I say that as a current owner of a BMW M division car.

Money grabbing and a terrible idea. This puts me off the brand completely

  • 2018 Mac mini more repairable than 2014 model with socketed RAM and design choices

Its very close though... Its much better than what most of us thought we'd get i'm sure.

It would of been the complete deal if it had swappable PCIe SSD's. That would really be something...

Give feedback to Apple - it may not be too late to nudge the Mac Pro into a changeable SSD setup

  • Fix Apple Podcasts's stuttering by moving to an alternative app

I abandoned the Apple Podcast app when they completely messed up the UI a few years ago.

Switched to Overcast and wouldn't go back. Top quality app, shout out to Marco Arment the developer for the excellent features he has thought up and implemented within the app. Variable speed and Voice Boost specifically, also for keeping it up to date and continually innovating.

    Worth the yearly subscription.

  • 2018 MacBook Pro keyboards include silicone membrane, might protect against key failure

Fixing MacBook's keyboard is a big deal for Apple, and one it most definitely wants to address. Explaining the company's dismissive statements is a separate issue altogether. With so many lawsuits currently pending, it can be speculated that Apple is hesitant to admit that the new design "fixes" a keyboard problem it never necessarily deemed "defective" in the first place.
LOL.  I love how the link to "so many" lawsuits is about "a second" suit.

I'm sorry, but this keyboard thing has always been overblown.  Sure Apple wants to improve their products when problems are identified, but a very small percentage of MacBooks had any problems at all.
How are you judging that? Finger in the air and making your own mind up about how significant these failures have been?

Not in my experience. It’s very under blown.

When more than half of your deployed fleet with this keyboard have broken. Some
more than once. You know it’s a real issue.

  • AirPods with more features, new studio quality headphones possibly coming from Apple in 20...

This would be amazing if it comes to pass!!

Noise cancelling AirPods. Sign me up right now.

I agree with a poster above, the AirPods are the first bit of technology for probably 5 years or so that have given me a wow factor and had me recommending them to friends. The last time was probable the Retina MacBook Pro 2013 (though this wasn't revolutionary to me it was such a perfectly balanced machine) then previously the iPhone.

    Love the AirPods
