I've  been using Duet Display to do this for years.  Unfortunately changes in iOS caused issues with their software only solution, thus allowing Luna's workaround dongle.   

Duet has solved their issues and both companies provide excellent second monitor options presently.

For me as a laptop using on the road, the second monitor is pure heaven as it allows me to get as much done with the two small monitors as on a larger one.   Drag and drop works seamlessly and its great to pin multiple documents onto the second monitor.

Apple should have done this long ago, but the solutions that are out there today work extremely well.

There is also a firmware update for older AirPods that hasn't gotten much press.   If you have gen1 AirPods and find that they are dropping out see this article...

It worked for me and the battery life of my older AirPods also improved!

I looked at it last night and signed up.   The shear amount of magazine content is astounding and the specialty topics such as sailing and biking (in my case) made it attractive to try out.  I already have a subscription to WSJ (and Apple's is NOT as full featured as there are limits to 3 days of back issues and only the curated articles are visible, but full searching of all articles is possible).  

The one complaint I have is that I cannot pinch and zoom on either iOS or MacOS.  I'm so used to doing that with web pages it was frustrating.  Hopefully an update will allow this in the future.

I'm particularly excited about the possibility to have additional magazines/periodicals/newspapers from around the world added - with translations please.   

I think the price provides good value.

As a geologist I do this all the time with maps, cross sections, etc.   To fix the paper in place use blue painters tape across the top or side, which allows you to lift the paper up to check on your work.  A vector graphics program works better than a bit map one, as it will maintain straight lines and shapes that scale. 

I expect to see a big jump in Apple's Music paid subscriptions due to Verizon offering "free" Apple Music to their top tier cell accounts.    For myself I would not have tried the service as I wouldn't have expected to use it much.   But now that I have it free on my phone (but NOT any of my other devices) I'm finding I like it and may end up getting a full subscription.
