I knew that the Jet Black finish wasn't slippery, because I remember reading that a while back, but I didn't know that the Jet Black is actually less slippery than the Matte finishes, like you're saying. Hmmmmm. Interesting.

I haven't actually been to an Apple store recently, so I haven't gotten to hold any of the new iPhone 7s yet in my hand.

Samsung's error was thinking, and acting on the thought, that they needed to have the Note 7 out before the iPhone 7. Then when problems arose, they thought that they had to act quickly to recall the existing product and replace it. Somewhere in there, a failure to determine the exact cause occurred. That was a concern of mine that I noted at the time, and now it has come to pass.

The issue from what I understand is more that Android requires more power and doesn't have the same unity between hardware and software as iOS. Though anyone who's used both high end Apple and Android phones should be able to tell you that there's no real discernible difference.
