    Apple was trying to dangle a "secret" carrot to entice workers not to unionize.

    There is literally nothing Apple has done in the past 20 years that should entice their lowest paid workers to kowtow to corporate greed bosses.
    Unions unite workers against robber barons. Sadly, in many ways Apple falls into this group.

  • New iPad requires USB-C Apple Pencil adapter for pairing & charging

    The original Pencil had an adapter very similar - to pop un the end of the lightening charging cord

    (while also having a male lightening port on the end of the pencil to plug directly into the iPad)

  • Oklahoma Apple Store staff to vote on labor union

    The collective bargaining-bashing on this site is verging on ridiculous.

    Unionizing is how Apple's retail employees can better reach the corporate ears & have their benefit to the corporate overlord be acknowledged & compensated appropriately.

    As a long time Apple end-user, i am beyond happy that their workers are starting to unionize - more profit $$ to the lowest paid rather than to stock buy back programs that primarily benefit shareholders.

  • Aventon Pace 500 e-bike review: Great balance of price, power, and heft

    This does seem interesting and it sounds like a great option for people who are not in the best physical condition and are apprehensive about riding a bike. I won’t be buying one, though. I’m not in great shape and my legs are a little jello like but I would still prefer a regular bike without assist in order to maintain or improve my physical condition. And I was shocked by the 52lb. weight. It’s hard for me to imagine a bike that heavy. Riding the bike without assist must be a chore and slow going.

    Weight is mostly what you adapt to.

    My daily ride is an approx 35 kg cargo bike + 1/2 my commute is with 2 of my kids, so you are looking at 80+ kg.
