They should be able to do that without breaking the bank. Seiko makes a $118 (retail) Titanium Sapphire battery-powered watch which is very durable, I have one. 37mm dia, 8mm thick. SGG727 SGG727P1 SGG727P

Customers who pre-ordered the new Apple items from B&H to save the sales tax are really taking it in the shorts. I saw on another thread that B&H doesn’t even have the items in hand yet and they have a Jewish holiday with storewide closing from Sep 23rd through Oct 3rd. So apparently there will be a significant delay getting the new watches and phones to B&H customers. Sorry folks, that sucks.

Apparently Hermès USA had early receipt of the AW 4. My wife ordered an Apple Hermès Watch mid-morning on the 14th and she received a FedEx tracking number today (20th) showing it was coming out of NYC via Next Day Air for delivery tomorrow.

So, Hermès apparently has a stash of the AW 4 in New York. I bet the two NYC stores will have them tomorrow morning for sale. Maybe even the Hermès stores throughout the US.

Ordered my watch at 4:30 a.m. EDT and the expected delivery was already Oct 12 - 19.
