  • Drake takes Apple Music record from Kanye for most-streamed album launch

My biggest beef with Apple Music is how much the site pushes music by contemporary, popular artists that I have ZERO INTEREST in listening to. Anything that Zane Lowe and his cohort are promoting is nearly by definition something I don’t want to hear. Sorry if this offends anyone, but anything by Kanye also exemplifies what I never listen to (and Drake for that matter).  AM pretty much ignores my musical preferences and playlists, and promotes mass market “pop du jour” even though I never, ever click on that stuff. Spotify more closely aligns its browsing page with my tastes and favorites. I’d give anything if AM’s algorithms would do the same, it would be a way more enjoyable user experience.

  • Apple Silicon transition may hit its two-year target with 2022 Mac Pro

Bloody hell… Hope this doesn’t mean we won’t see deliveries of M1x (M2?) MacBook Pros and MacBook Airs until 2022. Really counting on 2021 Q3 or worst case Q4 deliveries.

  • Apple awarding $5 million to four historically Black colleges and universities

It exists but not as bad as the media portrays. It’s more of a society issue than “systemic”. Too many Karen’s in the world.
Wrong. It's much worse than the "media" portrays it. Not believing or understanding that history is simply willful ignorance. Don't know how interested you (or MicDorsey or Zeebler) are in actually educating yourself on this topic, but as a starting point try reading anything by Ta Nehesi Coates, maybe begin with his piece titled The Case For Reparations  and move on from there. Happy reading.

  • Head EU antitrust regulator wants Apple to allow alternate app stores

    I
s everyone just going to ignore the last line in the article while they complain about their favorite little company being treated unfairly? Because this is the truly horrifying end game in play here. All this “gatekeeper” nonsense is nothing more than a prelude to the ultimate goal of a global socialist utopia. This is nothing more than the Balkanization of an entity deemed large enough to challenge the state. First, it was countries. Now they’re moving on to corporations. There is a reason why they choose Apple to go after first. Because they are the largest of the target corporations, if they are defeated, then everyone else will fall in line out of fear. Apple will not be the last. This is just the beginning. People need to wake the hell up and see what’s really going on instead of believing everything they see on the news.

My history is a little rusty, but didn’t Europe fight a World War to defeat socialism? How the hell did we get to this point?
    You misspelled "fascism."

Gee, how did it work years back when business taxes were appreciably higher and all these companies did just fine?
