  • What to expect from the 'iPhone Fold'

    The iFold?
I see a folding iPad before I see a folding phone.
I’d be happy with a thick iPad that unfolds to be as big as an iPad Pro 12.9”.
I just don’t want to pay $1000 for it to fold.

  • Apple Silicon iMac Pro coming early 2022, says leaker

If the new, bigger iMac isn't 30" or greater, I'll just buy the 14" M1 Pro and stick with my old 30" Cinema Displays and continue to use my 27" iMac as a display.  I don't do video work so I'm not missing out.   i just love the big screens.

Either way, I told myself NOT to buy into Apple Silicon until the 2nd generation at a minimum.   That means M2.   I don't expect to see an M2 anything until late 2022 which is fine.   I know my iMac is getting old, but if there are people running Monterey using OCLP on 2010 Macs, I think I can tolerate it another year or two.

Regarding the 27" versus 30 or 32 inch, I really don't see Apple releasing THREE iMac sizes if the next one is a 27 (meaning there will not be a 32 inch).

  • Apple Car may use exterior screens to signal other drivers

The example shown in The picture is likely illegal. There are color limitations to what can be illuminated, also.

If I had such a display, it would t be showing such an obvious message, but probably I would use it to insult the driver behind me.  It would jot be a good thing.

I welcome improvements and don’t mean to pooh-pooh such advances.  However, getting FMVSS rules changes is a difficult process.  Just ask the companies trying to eliminate side mirrors.

  • New iMac Magic Keyboard with Touch ID available for individual sale

I was excited until I read the Touch ID doesn’t work on Intel Macs.
This seems like an arbitrary decision on Apple’s part, especially if one is running the latest OS.  It really limits their market, but that’s Apple.

    Oh, well!
