  • Apple Car US production reportedly assigned to Hyundai subsidiary Kia

    mike1 said:
If this is all true, I'm very surprised to learn that Hyundai uses separate plant(s) to manufacture essentially the same car(s).
I also doubt that Kia would need to "agree to take control of production". They'd be told they are producing the car.
I don’t know the Hyundai/Kia models that well, is there a Kia made that Hyundai doesn’t offer? Maybe it is a Kia plant that also makes Hyundai’s? Just a wild guess but I could see where the minivan plant would have plenty of spare capacity right now due to the SUV craze. Not saying this is where minivans are made, just an example.

  • Apple's Jay Blahnik speaks about Fitness+ team, metrics as motivators

I have been using Fitness+ daily since it came out in December, and I am loving it!! I really do like how all the instructors are supportive and encouraging, but not in an falsely peppy way; they all seem genuine and have a great energy about them. I also love the variety of workout types and durations. Totally worth the nominal monthly cost, in my opinion.

I will agree with people that it’s not geared towards expert/hardcore fitness people, but I don’t think that was ever the intent. I think the vast majority of people will be able to find some sort of benefit somewhere. And for someone like me who is happy (and lazy enough) to just maintain and maybe slowly get better, it is perfect.
I want to try it for the yoga routines. I have never done yoga before and I am not going to start going to a studio now with the way things are with COVID. I see a service like this from Apple with the Watch integration being a big selling point.

Where can I buy my MIGA (Make Intel Great Again) hat? This guy sounds exactly like a certain wannabe dictator.
Fake news. Biden is in capable of stringing that many words together at one time.
    “incapable”

As in “incapable of organising an armed white supremacist insurrection in a porn star’s boudoir”.
Thank you for catching the change iOS made that I did not. As for your other part, that makes about as much sense as Biden talking about his hairy legs. I guess it made you feel good though and that is all that matters.DaRev said:
I am a little surprised he didn't call them "that fruit company" if Intel does bail out on its foundries in the US to outsource to China that will be devastating to the state of Oregon.  If any company were to purchase the foundries it would take a massive investment to bring them up to speed.
    Sadly that’s the story of many industrial facilities here in the States. The options are;
    • Intel invests to get them up to date.
    • They sell them and a competitor invests.
    • They outsource it to China and bulldoze.
Two out of three portions are bad because there’s a pretty good chance it will be China that buys them. Intel created their own situation.

  • Apple TV+ orders two-part biographical documentary about Oprah Winfrey

Apple's programming sounds a tad boring, overall. At least, the ones reported so far in AI

I truly hope there's more to the programming slate.
Have you even watched any of it? I've seen a lot of great content and still haven't gotten to half my list on ATV+.
Simple minds are easily entertained I guess.

That Small Planet or whatever its called is OK. And recently checked out Ted Lasso. Glad I watched a second episode by accident because the first episode did nothing to earn that viewing on its own.

“[Google] is promising to silo Fitbit data away from Google's ad business.”

Here is a chance for FitBit users to become the product.

Didn’t Google also promise that Nest would remain completely independent?  Until later, of course, when they announced they were no longer going to honor that promise?

It seems that all these mega companies have to do is promise the regulatory panels that they will do such and such, then completely ignore said promise after the acquisition has been approved.
This will be a tough one for Google to renege on since it's under a formal agreement with the EU as I understand it.
There'll just be "accidental" data sharing à la their "accidental" street view password collecting.
LOL. The "bad Google" moment over a decade ago?
LOL.  It's like listening to T**** supporters keep moving the goalposts to defend their arguments.  Corporate culture is real and doesn't change easily.
Biden begins with a B, but yes, other than that you are correct.
