Let me tell you what this shows me.  Apple has completely forgotten about the iMac, Mac Mini and Mac Pro lines for years.   When I read that something like this will not be ready until next year what else can one think?  We may get a new iMac in the Fall to Winter of this year.  Seeing is believing.  And announcements like this that are given just to try to hold the market.  But that has been it. What has Apple been doing for the last 3 now 4 years?  It certainly hasn't been doing desktop computers.  Tim? what have you been doing?  All we've heard from you is words when it comes to desktop computing.  You don't "love" the Mac.  The only reason you've started to do something now is because of competitive pressure and product linkage.  You've never really cared about the Mac users.  You're great at opening markets and distributor pipelines but you've failed miserable when it comes to computers.  The iPhone and things that hook to the iPhone are the only places I've seen an innovation in for years.  But who cares, I'm only one voice.  The  only reason many of us are still here is the operating system.  With all the billions and billions in the bank and you can't find any money for engineers and product people to really push the Mac to where it should be is a crying shame.

I find this very interesting.  Tim is not what I call an innovator.  But I applaud the President for reaching out to business for some help.  Where else should he go?  As for the government not being a business, have you ever done business or two worked for the government?  It's the biggest business in the United States.  As for producing profits, it's profits are in the helping and protecting of it's people. Come on, I applaud the guy for looking for help.  To some here it would make any difference what President Trump did, it would be wrong.

Yes, they discriminate against white, black, Asian and Latino men.  And then you talk about Apple.  What a double standard.

Hard to figure Apple's management out isn't it?  Make tons of money and offer less and less.  Wi-Fi is no longer important to Apple.  It still is to us.  Updating there computer hardware seems not to be too important either.  Still is to us.   What does Apple think is important?  Well, phone's definitely, watches, operating systems, music, some car thing, a book, and social comment.  This seems to be the Tim Cook Apple from where we sit.  Total user experience did not make the grade.  I hope something comes out of Apple that make's these types of major change in direction and focus worth whiled.       

But still can't get to all of your movies in your own iTunes directory using Siri.  Why doesn't Apple move "Computer" into the app?  If you want to be a hub, be a hub.
