Apple gearing up for fall launch of new two new AirPods models
So far the AirPods 1 and 2 fit my ears perfectly for being out and about. The AP 3 fit ok if I don't move my head, yawn, eat or drink. They're a step back in fit for me but they do sound better than the 2.
The Pro don't work at all for me. So I'm not particularly hopeful that a new design with an improved fit will actually have an improved fit. But I'll give them a try if they are released. -
Apple will surrender less than a day of earnings to satisfy class action suit
This lawsuit was due to Cook allegedly lying about the sale slowdown in China to investors.
There is no proof he lied, only supposition that detractors chose to see as fact, when it wasn't proven.
That it wasn't proven doesn't mean he didn't lie.
That it wasn't proven doesn't mean he did lie.
That Apple settled doesn't mean he did lie.
We'll never know if he did or didn't so we can pick a side and call it victory or cash grab, and move on. -
HoloLens 2 swapped for Apple Vision Pro in UK spinal fusion operation

What I got from the article, is that a nurse with zero or little experience with the HoloLens 2, would not be able to work in the surgical theater, but the same nurse would be able to use the VP version of the app and would be considered proficient to work in the surgical theater.
It appears as if the UI of the VP is the reason for this.
The same nurse found using the AVP a "game changer" somehow, doing the same job. I don't see anything that implies or states that someone needs experience with the HL2 to use it and they don't with the AVP.
The article merely states that she was already familiar with the HL2 and not that she went into theatre immediately after unboxing the AVP. It may be the UI, the hardware, or both. More details would be better.
As with some of you, I'd like to know exactly what goggles of any brand bring to the table. Anything that makes an operation go more smoothly is a good thing for people on both ends of the scalpel.

The United States cellular network struggled the morning of February 22

That's an indicator of no cell service, but access to the SOS over Satellite feature.Read on AppleInsider
That SOS indicator has nothing to do with the "Satellite" feature. Shows up on every phone when there is no cell signal.
Not connected to a network, there's still the possibility to make emergency/911 calls. That's why the SOS or SOS Only indicator. With no cell signal there would be no SOS or SOS emergency/911 option, only No Service.
The exception would be an iPhone 14 or 15 with its ability to make satellite calls. Those phones with no network access would also show either SOS or SOS Only, I don't know which. But their satellite function might be viable. With no cell signal, their satellite function could still be viable but no idea if there would be an SOS indicator or No Service indicator as with no network access.
