Stalled in companies with incompetent management. There’s long been a case of poor managers, more concerned with “presenteeism” than productivity. For the bad manager measuring the hours you’re in the office is easier than measuring the quantity and quality of work you do. If you work for such a company your career will stall anyway because talent is neither recognised or rewarded.

You’ve clearly not tried it’s low-code competition such as OutSystems,  Mendix, Salesforce Lightning, Microsoft PowerApps, etc. Have just been through a corporate review of all of these and FileMaker was the best all-rounder. Maybe it’s due to its maturity as some of the products seem to have been written by script kiddies who don’t know about data normalisation concepts, while others seem to have been written by data nerds who have no idea about UX design.

I wonder how many people realise that Amazon is a cloud service provider with a small gift shop tacked onto the side? The shop side of the business lost money for years, and only recently became profitable.
The huge profits are from the cloud services.

Universal Control is by far and away the standout feature for me.

Surprised the article didn’t compare/contract with the IKEA HomeKit enabled window blinds, as they must have the largest market share by volume at the moment.
