  • Windows won't dominate enterprise in a decade, says outgoing Jamf CEO

Maybe the next generation of IT people will get their heads out of their backsides. Our company is 100% windows on the desktop purely because of the irrational hatred of Macs by the IT dept. The only person with a Mac laptop is the CEO. And our Dell desktops and laptops are a continual massive PITA. Always causing problems. I use Remote Desktop over vpn from my Mac laptop to bypass those morons.

  • Super73-S Adventure Series review: The premium off-road e-bike

Whatever you call them the idiots that ride those things are a complete menace ( and typically illegal) on off-road trails frequently shared with regular mountain bikes ( and e-mountain bikes).  Lazy dudes who just like to go fast.

  • Japan law will require Apple to allow alternate iPhone app stores

As an app developer, I’ll say it again, what Apple does for their 15% is incredible value. Buying software and promoting it was a mess before app stores. I can sell my app in Brazil , and the proceeds just appear in my bank account. Third party app stores are not going to do it for free-unless it’s crappy malware they just want to get on your device.

  • Geekbench reveals M2 Ultra chip's massive performance leap in 2023 Mac Pro

There is very solid evidence that Metal compute  code running on the ultras has the thoughput of nvidia GPUs with much higher theoretical peak performance. Memory bandwidth is the key here.

  • AirTags used to uncover fraud in Turkey relief donations

I hope they get to the core of who diverted the products, if they were indeed diverted.  (Meaning it is possible that it makes more sense to sell donated goods and use the money to buy homogenous lots of items prepackaged for shipment across the world — IDK, but unless they can show they were diverted and then sold with the “profit” being pocketed by someone, the mere fact of tracing it to a market may not mean anything.  More deep investigation is necessary.  )
Let me tell you about Mexico -that kind of low level corruption is par for the course. As someone who has been pulled over by the police for the explicit purpose of a bribe a number of times.  Suggesting there will be an investigation is laughable.
